The Wedding Exchange is housed in The John O’Daniel Exchange, which was built in 1917. First a hoisery and knitting mill, the Exchange was later turned into the Farmer’s Exchange until the mid-1980s. Apart from a couple of short-lived occupants, the building remained empty until our owner Wendy Clark renovated it in 2009.
Providing affordable office space as well as accessible event space has been a key part of Wendy Clark’s vision for building community in Durham. We are thrilled to use our event space for intimate weddings, special events and corporate events to serve our community!
Staff was super responsive, attentive and everything was as it should have been when we walked in the day of the event. There is literally not one thing I would have changed!
